For most people, the need to maintain creditworthiness with lenders is vital, for without a good credit record, obtaining credit would be nigh on impossible.
So, how would an IVA, or Individual Voluntary arrangement, impact on your credit rating and would being the subject of an IVA affect the chances of borrowing any further money?
Well, an IVA is a formal debt solution, which helps people suffering from severe debt problems reach a new amicable agreement with their creditors. It does this by reducing the overall scheduled monthly debt repayments of the applicant to an affordable level over a fixed timeframe, with any unpaid debt being written-off at the end of the agreement.
As part of this process, the IVA replaces the normal monthly contribution that the applicant would have paid to his creditors, with just one single payment, which is, instead, paid to an Insolvency Practitioner. Full Article…

The number of Americans filing for Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 personal bankruptcy is declining across the U.S. Although this would seem to be an indicator of an improving economy, this is not necessarily the case.
In an article on www.nytimes.com, Tara Siegel Bernard writes that “Though economic factors like foreclosures and unemployment play a role in bankruptcy, over the long run, the filing rate tends to be more closely tethered to the amount of outstanding consumer debt.”
In the shorter term, however, access to credit often influences the bankruptcy rate more. With lenders clamping down on sources of available credit, bankruptcy filings often rise, as besieged consumers cannot rely on credit cards or other loan sources to see them through.

Sepsis is a severe illness in which the bloodstream is overwhelmed by bacteria. Common places where an infection might start include the bowel, the kidneys, the lungs, and the skin. Sepsis infection can vary but bed sores from neglectful nursing home care can eventually cause the dangerous bacterial condition and an elder person is more susceptible to sepsis infection since their immune systems are worn down says California Nursing Home Abuse and Neglect Lawyer Steven Peck.
Many of times under qualified, under trained, underpaid nursing home workers, sometimes with previous records of abuse/neglect, are caring for the elders in nursing homes or health care facilities causing Elders to be susceptible to severe bedsores causing sepsis, and even wrongful death.
The cases of sepsis have almost doubled over the last ten years, which is easily correlated to the increase of people that have aged and the extremely high incidence of nursing home abuse.
