Debt management companies are able to negotiate lower interest rates on unsecured debt. Can consumers do this themselves? Would it be viewed the same as having a debt management company do this for you?
You certainly can work with your creditors directly. The earlier you contact your lenders about payment challenges the better.

Store credit cards, the offer is enticing. You finally reach the front of the checkout line with an arm full of new clothes, probably more than you had planned on buying, and the cashier asks you if you want to save 15% on your purchase by applying for a store credit card. You study the cashier and mull the offer.
That 15% could save you $30 today. What could it hurt to have one more card? You’ll pay it off as soon as you get the bill and you probably won’t use it again unless there’s some in store promotion for a 10% discount on store card purchases. Right?

There are many consumers who have less-than-perfect credit scores these days thanks to the many economic problems facing Americans. However, experts are appealing to those that have been able to maintain their good credit profile not to share their good financial status with others in need.
Since credit scores are used by nearly every industry today, financial experts warn consumers about taking on financial obligations for others because you have a better credit score. This includes becoming a co-signor on a mortgage, car loan, or even a rental application. When you act as a co-signor on someone else’s financial transactions, you are putting yourself in the position of not only having to repay the obligation but also ruining your own good credit standing should the other person default.

I broke off a relationship in October 2009 where I was an authorized user on several credit cards. My ex-girlfriend told me she removed me as authorized user. Can I get those accounts deleted off my credit report since I am not legally responsible for those debts? If so, how do I go about doing it?
Because authorized users are not responsible for the debt, lenders typically will remove your name from the accounts upon request.

Keeping books and records in not actually a really hard job, it is a time consuming, headache inducing, and tie you down to the office job, if you do not employ the professional services of a certified bookkeeper or accountant.
Many hours a week are spent recording the purchases and expenditures a company makes. This is true if you have a company with 2 employees, or you have a company with 200 employees. Accurate records must be kept. You cannot wait for long periods before you do the record keeping for the business because when you do you will inevitably omit something that is important and end up costing your company a great deal of money.
Someone needs to record into the books at the very least once a week. Full Article…
